Oregon Psychoanalytic Center Outreach is very excited to announce the final show of our 2025-2026 collaboration with Artists Repertory Theater  (1515 SW Morrison in Portland). This play, APPLE HUNTERS by prolific and award-winning playwright, E.M. Lewis, invites us to connect with very big matters of the human heart. As a native Oregonian, she is passionate about the uniquely raw and beautiful Pacific Northwest, its majesty and vulnerability and the existential questions that come into view when we reflect on the movement of time, change, connection, passion, and coming to terms with what is and may not be possible in our lives. 

This is a story about how big dreams can be inspirational and also daunting.  Apple Hunters is an exquisitely evocative story of four men who share experiences and memories of their childhood together in Oregon and how their separate and different life journeys are forever linked by their remembered love of novelty and adventure, friendship and the sweetness of dreams fulfilled.  This is a tense and also tender reunion where love, loss, and the power of the human spirit are seen and deeply felt. 

Please join us for this meaningful collaboration with Artists Repertory Theater where a discussion with the audience will take place following the Sunday matinee on April 19, 2026. Susan Gendein-Marshall, OPC member, will facilitate this post play discussion with the aim of thinking aloud about what was heard and felt via the performance and also highlighting important psychoanalytic ideas such as the power of being seen, listened to, and feeling understood and cared about in this big and often overwhelming world that we share.   Limited ticket for Apple Hunters are still available at: artistsrep.org.
