Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Practice Development
with Julie Rosenberg, MD

Is a psychodynamic psychotherapy practice a realistic option in today’s turbulent health care environment?  Join us for an evening where we will explore the nuts and bolts of creating and maintaining a private practice in the Portland area.  In addition hearing specifics from Dr. Rosenberg and Dr. Power’s own practices, we will open the discussion to the group to explore your questions and tips about topics such as: getting referrals, working with insurance, finding community, maintaining licensure, and any other practice related concerns you might have.  Because of the unique concerns of psychotherapists who do or don’t prescribe medications, we are offering two separate meeting times, each with its own specific focus.  Certainly, prescribing and non-prescribing therapists are welcome at either or both sessions.

Educational Objectives: After attending this seminar, participants will be able to:
1.  Understand the financial picture (income range, expenses, patient load) of a typical psychotherapy practice in Portland, Oregon.
2.  Consider the specific challenges faced by psychotherapists who do or do not prescribe medication.
3.  Find community and network with a new group of colleagues.
