Current Events in Ethics-An Update for Mental Health Professionals

Instructors: Catherine Corotis PhD and Saskia Hostetler Lippy MD

This class will cover recent events and developments in the field of ethics. It is not intended to be comprehensive but build upon previous knowledge of competent ethical clinical practice. This class meets the annual CE requirement for both psychologists and social workers but is open to all mental health professionals interested in the topic.

Learning Objectives:

1) Describe a recent worldwide clinical development in clinical practice and identify 5 areas of ethical conflict.

2) Be able to identify principles in the code of ethics for each professional discipline represented (psychiatry, psychology and social work).
